When unpacking the device, handle it gently and avoid using sharp tools that could scratch the outer casing. After unpacking, first inspect the exterior of the device to ensure there is no visible deformation or dents, and that the buttons are not damaged or loose. If you notice any abnormalities with the device or its accessories, do not turn it on. Please contact us immediately.

The standard main components are as follows: From left to right, the four guide tubes are set at different heights for testing IK10, IK07, IK08, dan IK09, respectively. There are three impact hammers/steel balls: the small one is used for testing IK07, the medium one for IK08, and the large one for IK09 ke IK10.

2. Tindakan Pencegahan Keamanan

2.1 Keamanan Listrik

2.1.1 Koneksi Daya

Single-phase AC 220 V ±10%. Power outlets must comply with safety standards, provide proper grounding, and have a rated current that matches the device’s power rating.

2.1.2 Spesifikasi Pembumian

The equipment must be reliably grounded, with a grounding resistance of ≤4 Ω. Do not use gas pipes, non-metallic water pipes, or the neutral wire as a substitute for the ground wire to prevent electric shock caused by poor grounding.

2.2 Keselamatan Operasional

Wear impact-resistant gloves and safety goggles to prevent flying debris or ricochets from the impact hammer from causing injury;

Unauthorized personnel are prohibited from entering the test area to prevent accidental injury.

2.3 Keselamatan Lingkungan

The equipment must be installed in an air-conditioned room, with the ambient temperature maintained between 5°C and 35°C and relative humidity ≤ 85%.

The distance between the equipment and walls and surrounding structures (such as other test equipment and shelving) must be at least 1000 mm to facilitate operation and maintenance;

The equipment must be placed on a level, sturdy surface with a levelness error of ≤0.5°.

3. Persiapan Sebelum Ujian

3.1 Persiapan Sampel

The housing of the test specimen must be clean, brand-new, and intact, with all components properly installed, in accordance with the product’s original factory condition;

If specified in the product standards, samples must be pretreated (e.g., powered on, or simulated to mimic the operating state of moving parts); if not specified, prepare the samples under normal temperature and pressure conditions.

3.2 Confirmation of Test Standards

The IEC 60068-2-75 (GB/T 2423.55) standard specifies the following IK ratings and impact heights:

Specifically, the impact heights for IK07, IK08, IK09, IK10, dan IK11 are 400 mm, 300 mm, 200 mm, 400 mm, and 500 mm, respectively.

Note: The impact height is the vertical distance from the center of gravity of the impact hammer during the test; the guide tube’s range encompasses the entire trajectory of the impact hammer from its initial position to the point of contact with the sample. Therefore, the height of the guide tube is not the impact height; however, when the dimensions of the impact hammer are taken into account and the test is conducted using the corresponding guide tube, the impact height of the impact hammer is the impact height required by the standard.

4. IK Rating Test Procedures

Turn on the equipment.

Install the appropriate guide tube based on the IK rating of the item being tested.

Display the samples.

Rotate the turntable and adjust the drop height so that the guide tube is close to but does not touch the sample.

Press the CLAMP button to activate the magnetic force in the device’s magnetic attachment.

Insert the corresponding impact hammer through the opening on the side of the guide tube.

Press the RELEASE button to release the impact hammer and complete the test.

5. Prosedur Pasca-Ujian

5.1 Equipment Shutdown and Reset

Turn off the power switch;

If testing will not continue that day, remove the guide catheter.

5.2 Sample Preparation and Observation

Visual inspection: Check the sample housing for cracks, dents, or peeling, and check whether any fasteners are loose;

Functional Testing: Power on the sample and test whether all functions are operating normally, with no functional failures;

Determine whether the product meets the IK rating requirements based on the product standards, and record the test results (pass/fail).

5.3 Persiapan Lingkungan Pengujian

Clean the equipment surfaces: Wipe down the test stand, stage, and impact hammer with a dry cloth to remove dust and grease. Do not use water or corrosive cleaning agents;

Tidy up the test area: Remove any sample debris (if present), organize tools and accessories, and keep the area clean and tidy.

5.4 Long-Term Storage and Maintenance (When Not in Use for More Than 1 Month)

Component Storage: After cleaning the impact hammer, apply rust-preventative oil and place it separately in a packaging box to prevent impact;

Equipment Protection: Cover with a dust cover; store in a dry, well-ventilated environment with a temperature of 5–35°C and humidity ≤ 60%;

Regular Power-On: Power on and test the system once a month.
